Another day in Nauvoo

Today we went to the temple in Nauvoo. What a beautiful temple. I was told that the whole tour couldn't go down and look at the baptismal font but of course when you take Elder Rector with you anything can happen. He asked if we could go down and look and the let the whole group go down. We had to look from the outside because they were doing baptisms at the time. The temple is gorgeous. I thought the Salt Lake was the prettiest but I think this is my favorite. Inside they have the spiral staircase like they have in the Manti temple. All of the floors are cherry wood with beautiful rugs. In the dressing room it is all cherry wood as well. You have to see this temple to believe it. In this temple you have to move from room to room. You watch each part of the film in a different room. It was kind of fun because they sent me up to the fourth floor dressing room and when I came out the ladies working asked me if I wanted to see the wedding waiting room. It is gorgeous as well. They also had a kids room that is incredible. I think one of my favorite rooms was the telestial.

We have the coolest bus driver. We use him as often as we can and he tries to accommodate everybody. Tonight we went to Rendevous. This is a show that the couple missionaries put on for the people. On the way back he dropped those of us that wanted to go down to the temple to take pictures off and then brought everybody else back to the hotel. After that he came back and got us. So we had opportunity to take some nice pictures. Today finally cleared up. We have had rain everyday since we got here. It was nice an cool today. Great weather.

Tommorrow we head down to Carthage Jail. I'm sure that will be a strange experience. After that we will have a 61/2 hour bus ride down to Branson where we will do dinner and a show. The bus driver is going to go and get our bags to the hotel and pick up all of the keys for me so that we don't have problems when we get there late. He has made this trip a lot easier.

Elder Recotor is an incredible man. He has so many stories. It is interesting when we went to the visitors center yesterday there was a non member couple there. He was telling them about the church. It is amazing his knowledge. I finally figured out why he is so special. He has the same birthday as grandpa Lindley. The people on this tour is incredible.

Anyways that is it for tonight. We are leaving early tomorrow and it is 9:30 here and so I better get to bed.
