life in the MTC

I got a letter from Alex this week.  He  sounds a little bit home sick but still having a great time.  He says the spirit is high in the MTC.  He loves receiving letters from home.   He says he has a teacher that is from Albania and so he is working a lot with him on the language. They have given seven lessons in Albanian.

The MTC gives him six bucks a week and he hasn't even spent it on Beto's.  Anybody that knows Alex knows what that means.  Him and his best friend went almost every Friday night to Betos.

They had Kalua Pig for dinner one night and he said it was nothing compared to what he gets at Mo Bettah Steaks.  Alex also said that he has a teacher that went to Highland High.  Another of his teachers brother Hoxsa (hoedza) is Albanian.  He is giving Alex extra help with the language when he gets the chance.

His letters at this point doesn't really have a lot of information in them but I'm sure that is usual while they are in the MTC.  In there it is mostly learning but the real experiences will come when he is in the mission field.

The top picture on this is Alex and Sister Connor.  Sister Connor is in our ward and is going to Santiago Chile.  She went into the MTC in August and so I think she is probably going to leave the MTC any time now.  She may have already left.  He was excited about running into somebody that he knows.

The lower picture is Alex and Elder Cannon.  Elder Cannon is his companion.  Alex is learning a lot about living with somebody else all of the time.

I am going to update the other blog site now.  I am going to be spending my life updating blogs.  The other blog site that we are updating is the one that they build for the Highland High students that are all going on missions this year that graduated with Alex.  The blog on that is hhmissionaries.blogspot.com  It will be fun to see all the experiences that all of these kids are having on there missions.
